For our client, a global player in the insurance industry, headquartered in Munich, we are searching for an highly organized Financial Accounting Specialist (m/f/d) with strong analytical skills and profound accounting knowledge.
Financial Accounting Specialist (m/f/d)
Your Tasks:
You support the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS and HGB
You are responsible especially for the ECCS consolidation process, non-insurance provision as pension, HR and other provision as well as asset ledger and calculation of deferred taxes
You are in charge of the preparation of management presentation
You support Solvency II (Market Value Balance Sheet and QRT) reporting
You assit in testing and improvement of the ERP-system (SAP)
You collaborate with various stakeholders like Controlling, Risk and external auditors
Key Qualifications:
You have successfully passed your studies in (preferably) Finance, Economics or related fields
You have several years of professional accounting experience (ideally 2+ years) in the insurance industry or alternatively you have worked in an auditing company (Big4/next10) with focus on financial services (focus insurance)
You are well grounded in IFRS and/or HGB
Preferably you have sound knowledge and experience with SAP; also first contact points with SAP within the scope of studies or internships is an advantage
You are able to solve complex accounting issues and you have excellent analytical skills
You are willing to to drive decision-making process
You have very good German language skills and are fluent in English (especially in written English)
